Penang Hill or Bukit Bendera is an excellent vantage point with lush greenery and quaint British bungalows; the perfect location for afternoon tea amid cooler climes. Visitors can take the funicular to experience the world’s steepest tunnel track en route to the chilly hill resort. The fitter and more adventurous can opt for a jungle hike. The hill’s 130-million-year-old rainforest is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
