25 Apr Flower Garland Makers
Traditional garland making is a skill that was brought to Penang by Indian immigrants as an intrinsic part of Hinduism, where garlands and fresh flowers are offered at temple shrines and households altars. These Indian florists also serve the different racial communities who come to buy flowers for altar offering or just to pick up a bouquet for a loved one. The flowers are either locally sourced or brought from Cameron Highlands and abroad.
